Dr.
Aaron's Texas Gentleman aka "Pacer"
One of the truly gaited jacks we have seen. FAST, FAST, FAST.
If you want movement and fire he has it. 56", breeds mares
and jennets, and part of our early foundation stock. Out of
Old Hickory. Perfect head and ear, wide in the chest, wide set
straight back legs. Red dapple with white mane and tail.

Dr.
Aaron passed on in 2005.
Dr.
Aaron at Shelbyville, Tenn. He had a Jack that year that was
really high. Gave him a run for his money. I think that was
the year that he bought the Blue Ribbon JACK. I do think I see
fire in that young fellow's eyes. If I remember right his name
was A-Jax. Dr. Aaron is the breeder of Pacer AKA Texas Gentleman
and of course all of our beautiful Old Hickory jennys. Old Hickory
won every time he was shown. He was twice International and
one world CH. After that more than we can count. One of the
finest studs in the south and of course an own son of Old Mississippi.
Dr. Aaron has contributed a great deal to Mammoth Jackstock.
His publications, his articles on health, and his hospitality
and help to people just getting started in the show ring have
been so helpful. Years ago when we started it was real easy
to make mistakes. WE made fewer because of his help and the
wonderful trips we made to Tenn. and Kentucky. Believe me when
I tell you a matched herd of sorrel jennys with white mane and
tails is rare. Even in those days it was difficult to come by.
We wanted a certain look. He and I had in mind what to look
for and found about 18 at that time. After that we purchased
a few nice show animals and Master Blend AKA Maxwell who is
still an old Hickory grandson out of a Kenny Nelson jenny. A-Male
was purchased from a famous mule breeder in Missouri. He was
already trained to breed mares and had never seen a jenny. Dr.
Aaron had looked for sometime for one that would not trouble
us in any way. He was tame, he was trained, he placed that year
in Shelbyville and I brought him home along with Agnes, Eve,
Mystic Tille and I believe Pinky was an extra passenger. No
one ever does anything without what went on before and other
breeders experience breeding and showing all kinds of animals.
We now have a beautiful matched herd of red Mammoth Jackstock
in the middle of the Texas Hill Country. To the best of our
ability we put our money to good use and purchased only those
animals Dr. Aaron bred. A-Male an outcross, to a predominant
Old Mississippi Old Hickory Jennet herd.
