This old house has been a work in progress. It is over 100 years old and as such has seen many changes. I work on the grounds a little while and then work on the house some more. It has been fun. These things take a little thought and we tried to keep it well within the realm of possibility for a victorian lady. These pictures will give you an idea of how things grew here at the ranch from year to year. The barns did the same thing. We did them over as we needed them and with materials that were available on the ranch. The cedar was grown here, the rock was dug here and a lot of the labor was done by help and friends. I have a green thumb and everything both animal, human, and plant eventually will agree to some extent and so we progress. We finally finished the house. It is a joy to have other people visit and somehow I think the house finally is pleased, too. Its old fire places work, its old floors have been cleaned and stained and its old walls are repaired. It has a new modern kitchen and baths many cozy bedrooms, sun porches, a hot tub and wonderful patios and fish ponds. We finally finished a home for people and jackstock.
